Guest Speaker: Nongcebo Vukile McKenzie
Nongcebo pursued her studies in a Bachelor of Commerce (Business Management and Economics) at the University of KwaZulu Natal and later through UNISA, where she also obtained her BA in Communication Science. She holds an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
Having started her career in Training and Skills Development in the corporate sector; Nongcebo’s on-air radio journey began in 2005, on the KZN regional radio station Gagasi 99.5FM. She later moved to the SABC’s Ukhozi FM, where she has been since 2008 as a producer and on-air presenter.
Nongcebo is also a voice over artist with an extensive portfolio of voice-over work, including the television programmes such Special Assignment, in house production material for the likes of Unilever and Toyota, as well as radio and television advertisements.
As a sought after MC, Nongcebo has hosted functions such as the Ethekwini Living Legends Awards, the Annual Durban Business Fair Gala Dinner and presented awards at various award ceremonies such as the Crown Gospel Awards and the South African Traditional Music Awards (SATMA).
Nongcebo is co-owner of Terno Productions, the founder of WordArt Communications, the Sports Health & Fitness Exchange, is an Executive Committee Member of the Business Women’s Association, (former Vice-Chair) and sits on the Board of Trustees of the University of Zululand Foundation.
