Presenter: Vanessa Mayhew
With a background in Fine Art, Vanessa is passionate, besotted, in love with Fluid Art and all things pouring related, and has been for almost 4 years. She loves the unpredictability of the mediums and that no two pieces ever come out the same. The three disciplines that she works with are Acrylic Pouring, Resin and Alcohol Inks & she often combines the mediums to create exciting and unique Artworks.
At the beginning of 2021, Vanessa made the decision to change the direction of her business and to focus mainly on retail. Selling her art and accepting commissions, and it has been the best move that she could have made. She loves the freedom & creativity that this affords her, along with the thrill from selling a painting, and also working with clients to help them create their own customised art piece.
More recently, Vanessa has started to work with a couple of Interior Decorators and begun exploring the idea of putting her paintings onto fabric, as both wearable art and also for soft furnishings. Another very popular branch of her business is the "Functional Art", which includes Wine/Gin glasses, mugs, charcuterie boards and candles.
Like Fluid Art, her business just keeps evolving and she is constantly reaching for, and exploring new avenues.
