Business Profile: Bianca Johnson

Bianca Johnson
  1. What is the name of your business and what is your role?  WAHM Training a division of WAHM WorkSpace. I’m the CEO, Head Tech VA and Trainer.
  2. Describe your business in two sentences. We provide unique, customised training for all aspects of running an online business. We do this through 1:1, group and scheduled training sessions either online or in person.
  3. How long have you been in business? It will be 6 years in September.
  4. How did you get into this business? I originally wanted to open a physical coworking space for work at home moms (WAHMs). I’ve always loved getting people together and guiding them to work towards a common goal. I decided to work as a virtual assistant to get my funding started for the space and realised that I enjoyed that more than what would be needed to run a physical space.
  5. What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced, and how did you overcome it? My biggest business challenge has been dealing with the burnout post-Covid. I’ve overcome it by relying on my team and finding myself coaches that are aligned with the kind of business that I would like to run in the future. I’ve also given myself time and space to take time to fill my own cup.
  6. What single trait/skill could you not have succeeded without? My ability to nurture relationships. All of my business successes have come out of building relationships and networking. Networking is one of the best things I learned to do properly.
  7. What is the best business advice you’ve received? Don’t be afraid to fail. I spent a year with my motto of ‘Try Everything’ and it gave me permission to fail but also resulted in some of the biggest successes in my business.
  8. Your secret to business success is? Acknowledging that I don’t work well alone and creating teams around me that help with my business, my personal life and my mental health.
  9. What is your business goal for 2023? I want to train 240 people through WAHM Training. Our parent company is going for a R1,5 million turnover.
  10. Tell us one thing that not many people know about you? I am writing a pregnancy loss support book which should be out in October 2023.
