  1. chrystal_austinWhat is the name of your business and what is your role? Profiles International Southern Africa.  I serve the company as a Key Accounts Manager, building and maintaining relationships with our clients.
  2. Describe your business in two sentences. We work with clients across the employee life cycle to enhance the productivity and performance of individuals, teams and organisations.  Our assessment, training, e-learning, executive and life coaching solutions  assists in identifying strengths, limitations and opportunities to enhance performance to maximize long term contributions to any organization.
  3. How long have you been in business? I rejoined Profiles International SA in 2011.
  4. How did you get into this business? I worked as a Procurement manager for a manufacturing company and felt that I had reached my ceiling for growth and was ready to move on.  My husband Nathan was instrumental in informing Profiles that I was available again to work for them.  I worked for the original training company as a PA and receptionist for a few years after school.  My many different working experiences in between have helped me to appreciate the value of what I do now.  I have always been interested in human behavior and why we do what we do.  This is an opportunity to explore in more detail “why” and then assisting people with the “how” of becoming the best of who they are.
  5. What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced, and how did you overcome it? Learning to say NO! I always wanted to please everyone by saying YES when people asked for help.  I learnt that sometimes saying NO means that I am saying YES to more important things.
  6. What single trait/skill could you not have succeeded without?  Persistence
  7. What is the best business advice you’ve received?  Every Expert was once an Amateur and every Master was first a Beginner.
  8. Your secret to business success is?  Always deliver on a promise or commitment made to clients and co-workers.
  9. What is your business goal for 2014?  My current goal is to become a certified Law of Attraction Practitioner by June 2014.
  10. Tell us one thing that not many people know about you?  I still get nervous before I get up and speak in front of people.
