Topic: Instagram for Business
In this workshop we'll start with the basics of Instagram for business, from setting up a business Instagram account to developing your ideal look, feel and message. We'll spend some time work shopping a visual and written posting schedule, and then cover how to source and take photos for your account as well as some tips of curating your Instagram feed. We'll also cover the importance of using hashtags, the role of video and Instagram Stories, and have a look at some helpful Instagram-related apps. We'll finish off with a time for Q & A.

Guest Speaker: Claire Brear
With degrees in English, Music & Education from Rhodes University, Claire has worked in a range of creative environments from recording, to education, to social influencer work, and now web design. Her passion for Instagram and mobile photography began with the purchase of her first ever iPhone back in 2012! Together with Igers South Africa, she helped pioneer Instagram communities in South Africa, and was featured as a suggested user by Instagram in 2014. This opened doors to working with businesses and brands on the topic of leveraging Instagram as a marketing tool. Claire’s main focus these days is working with South African business owners and NGOs to build beautiful online homes with Squarespace (her favourite web building platform).
