Guest Speakers: Dr. Nombuso Mthethwa, Rakhi Beekrum and Hayley Wylie
Dr. Nombuso Mthethwa is a Ballito-based Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with nearly two decades of experience in holistic women’s health. Since qualifying in 2006, she’s been passionately empowering women and girls through education, advocacy, and accessible care. A mother of six, poetry lover, golfer, and inspirational speaker, Dr. Mthethwa is deeply committed to living an intentional, impactful life—one that uplifts, educates, and heals.
Rakhi Beekrum is a counselling psychologist with 16 years of experience in various settings, including private practice, medical and psychiatric hospitals, higher education and clinical supervision, community outreach and corporate settings. Rakhi is a contributing author in the book ‘Mental Health in the Workplace’. She is a breast cancer survivor, having just completed her first ‘cancerversary’. Her expert advise has been featured in local and international print media, radio and television. She also uses her social media platform to reduce the mental health stigma and provide mental health tips.
Hayley Wylie is a nutritional therapist and Bio Energetic Stress Practitioner in Westville. She uses a combination of nutritional therapy, functional medicine principles, DNA nutrigenomic testing and bio resonance feedback in her practice to determine how to improve a person’s health and wellbeing. After years of working in corporate reputation management and brands marketing in the UK she returned to South Africa with her husband and two young daughters in 2007 where she retrained in nutrition which had always been her passion. She is very thankful to have turned this passion into a successful practice where she has treated thousands of people over the last 15 years for various conditions. Hayley turned 50 last year and for obvious reasons has become very interested in nutrition and metabolic health for perimenopausal and menopausal women. Her other main interest areas are treating and preventing autoimmune disease, hormonal dysfunction and gastrointestinal health. Hayley is a foodie and enjoys hiking, walking, pilates as well as spending time with friends and travelling whenever she can.
