Guest Speaker: Darryn Le Grange
Darryn grew up on the Bluff and attended Grosvenor Boys High School. After school, he worked and studied part time for 6 years and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He was very fortunate to be given management position opportunities at a young age and this enabled him to gain great experience early on in his career.
In 2007, Darryn landed his dream job as Financial Director of Blue Security. 5 years later at the age of 33, he was promoted to Managing Director. Under his watch, Blue Security won the Best Security Company in KZN on numerous occasions.
In 2014, Darryn took the bold step of leaving his beloved Blue Security to pursue his life-long dream of having his own business and acquired an Action Coach franchise where he gets to fulfil his passion of working with business owners on a daily basis to help them grow themselves, their businesses and their profits.
In November 2014, he was awarded the South African Rookie coach of the year award and in August 2015 Darryn was awarded the Global Rookie of the Year Award at the ActionCOACH global conference in Bali, beating 150 new coaches from 75 countries around the world. In November 2015, Darryn won the National Sales Award for the highest conversion rate and in 2016 & 2017, Darryn’s firm, ActionCOACH Ignite won the firm of the year.
On the personal side, Darryn is married to Karen and they have 2 beautiful children, Brendan and Rachel. He is keen sportsman, albeit of the armchair variety and unbeknown to most people, he is also a very keen magician, being the past president of the South African Magical Society and Territorial Vice President of the International Brotherhood of magicians.
