Vee Pic
  1. What’s the name of your business, and what role do you play in making it a success? My name is Vee from La Vie Essentials , my role combines education, marketing, client care, and community building , all driven by a genuine heart to serve and make a positive impact in people’s lives.
  2. If you had to sum up your business in two sentences, how would you describe it? I run a wellness-focused business partnering with dōTERRA, helping families support their health naturally through education, holistic wellness, and plant-based solutions.I’m passionate about helping moms find simple, effective support for everyday health concerns while also empowering others to create additional income and purpose through wellness, with dōTERRA’s commitment to purity and rigorous testing forming the trusted foundation of my work.
  3. How long have you been on this journey, and what inspired you to start? I’ve been on this journey for 7 years. It started when my son was struggling at school and we were desperately looking for ways to support him without the harsh side effects of medication. As I experienced the benefits of essential oils firsthand, I began sharing them with friends and family, and over time it naturally grew. Today, they’ve become a big part of our everyday family wellness.
  4. What led you to this industry – was it passion, opportunity, or something unexpected? It was completely unexpected. I came from a very successful corporate career, but deep down I knew I wasn’t fully walking in my purpose. Over time, God opened doors into the wellness industry, and what started as a personal journey became a true passion and calling,  helping families find natural wellness solutions while creating a life with more purpose, freedom, and impact.
  5. What has been your biggest challenge so far, and what did it teach you? My biggest challenge has been overcoming limiting beliefs and learning to fully believe in myself and this path. It taught me that success starts with mindset , once that shifts, everything else follows.
  6. What’s the one skill or trait that has been absolutely essential to your success? It’s been essential in staying consistent, pushing through challenges, and continuing to grow even when things felt uncertain or difficult.
  7. What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever received, and how has it shaped your approach? The best advice I’ve received is to trust God’s timing and fully walk in faith. It has shaped my approach by helping me stay grounded, patient, and consistent even when I can’t see immediate results. I’ve learned to trust the process, stay aligned, and keep showing up with faith instead of fear.
  8. If you had to share one “secret ingredient” to business success, what would it be? I’m still on a journey, but one thing I’ve learned is how destructive comparison can be. It steals joy, confidence, and focus. The real “secret ingredient” for me is staying in your own lane, trusting your process, and celebrating your own growth instead of measuring it against others.
  9. What’s your biggest business goal for 2026, and how will you be working towards it? I’m relaunching my business, and my biggest goal for 2026 is to impact 50 families through natural wellness education and support. I took a step back for a while due to personal circumstances, but that season has deepened my perspective and strengthened my passion to return with even more purpose and intention.
  10. Tell us something surprising about yourself that most people wouldn’t guess! Something surprising about me is that I’ve had quite a journey. I was born in Mauritius, grew up in Malawi, and went to school in South Africa. I’m bilingual, hold both Mauritian and French passports, and even with all that travel and culture, South Africa is truly home to me – it’s where my heart is.
