Business Profile: Loretta Wilmot
1. What’s the name of your business, and what role do you play in making it a success?
My business is Herbalife, and I’m an Independent Distributor. My role is to guide, support, and mentor both customers and team members so they achieve real, lasting results in health and income.
2. If you had to sum up your business in two sentences, how would you describe it?
I help people live healthier, more active lives through personalized nutrition and coaching. At the same time, I show others how to build a sustainable income by growing their own business with Herbalife.
3. How long have you been on this journey, and what inspired you to start?
I’ve been on this journey for over 22 years. I was inspired by firstly, wanting to earn my own money based on my efforts, secondly my passion for health, fitness, and the freedom of creating a business that makes a real difference in people’s lives. Oh and have the potential to earn US dollars “😊
4. What led you to this industry—was it passion, opportunity, or something unexpected?
It was a mix of passion and opportunity. I was a stay at home mum and wanted to earn my own money again so I didn’t feel like I had to explain where I spent the housekeeping money. I’ve always loved health and wellness, and when I discovered Herbalife, I saw a chance to combine my passion with a business that could grow globally, I could travel and be my own boss working around my growing daughter at the time. I love Herbalife and will use the product range and be an independent member until I die.
5. What has been your biggest challenge so far, and what did it teach you?
One of my biggest challenges has been helping people stay consistent when life gets busy, both on the products as well as the business opportunity. People don’t believe in themselves and listen to others (unexperienced people ) too easily and then quit on themselves. It taught me patience, persistence, and the importance of accountability partnerships – because success is never built alone.
6. What’s the one skill or trait that has been absolutely essential to your success?
Consistency. Showing up every day for my business, my customers, and my team has been the foundation of everything I’ve achieved. “The more people I speak to the luckier I get “
7. What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever received, and how has it shaped your approach?
“Treat your business like a business.” This advice shifted my mindset from hobby to profession, and it’s why I continue to grow with focus, discipline, and long-term vision. Don’t ever believe the stuff that’s in your head …. It often lies !
8. If you had to share one “secret ingredient” to business success, what would it be?
Relationships. Building genuine connections, caring about people’s results, and celebrating their wins is what drives growth and creates trust. Believing in people more than they believe in themselves. Anything is possible if you don’t quit !
9. What was your biggest business goal for 2025, and how have you been working towards it?
My biggest goal for 2025 is to develop new team members and grow to 200 active customers. I’m working towards this by speaking to people everyday about our opportunity and the products, mentoring daily, running accountability challenges, and leveraging social media to reach and support more people.
10. Tell us something surprising about yourself that most people wouldn’t guess!
Even though I’m passionate about health and wellness, I don’t enjoy cooking at all! I’d much rather spend time outdoors, exercising, traveling, or connecting with people.
