Bookings received after this deadline will be charged a late booking fee of R495.00 for the meeting, if space is available. Cancellations received after the booking deadline will not be refunded or credited.

Roslynne_Toerien

Guest Speaker: Roslynne Toerien

Roslynne Toerien is a proudly South African mother, author, writer, speaker and philanthropist residing in Durban, KZN. She holds a Bachelor of Education, specialising in the Foundation Phase and trained as a dancer, achieving her AIDT Solo Performers certificate and performing professionally.  

With her passion rooted in the arts and education, she now lives her purpose daily as the CEO and founder of her NGO, The LEARN project, a South African Non-Profit Trust standing for ‘Let’s Educate A Rainbow Nation’. She lives by the motto ‘Small actions lead to big change’ and this can be seen in the 27 LEARN libraries and 444 classroom book corners that have been established in disadvantaged schools across South Africa.

As the KZN lead support partner for the Presidents Reading Champion Programme, Ros successfully led KZN to the leading Province through collaborating with KZN District officials and ELITS, the KZN Department for school library services.

Ros has been a guest speaker at a number of events and schools and was awarded the highest Paul Harris Fellows Award by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

Ros is a published, award winning children’s book author with Penguin Random House South Africa and her dream is to educate, equip and empower the youth of today, our leaders of tomorrow through the power of books and literacy.
