Aug 1 @ 8:00 am - 10:30 am
Topic: Resilience for todays Women in Business
We need a new sort of resilience as women in business in 2024.
A deep insecure world, devoid of global political and moral leadership, requires us leading businesses to be the leaders within our communities like never before.
Leadership that is resilient and transitional but kind and honest at same time.
How do we become the leaders this world needs, and how do we preserve hope and optimism in a culture that constantly challenges us at every turn.
We are in a unique place in the history of the world, a world transitioning from humans to technology.
We have to keep humanity but not lag behind in technology as we navigate these challenging times.

Guest Speaker: Sarah Collins
Sarah Collins, CEO and Founder of Wonderbag.
Sarah, driven by a yearning for equality and social justice, founded Wonderbag in 2008 and has created an entrepreneurial solution to many of the world’s humanitarian and environmental problems by changing the way people cook.
Growing up in South Africa, Sarah’s roots are intertwined with community empowerment projects and initiatives – particularly those that facilitate change in gender equality and environmental sustainability.
“Three billion people still cook on an open fire and seven million people die from indoor-air pollution diseases every year. One Wonderbag can reduce household air pollution by 90% and reduces the amount of firewood collected by up to 80%. My dream has been to create a business that interlinks economic, social and environmental positive impact. Wonderbag is delivering just that – equality across the circular models of the future,” explains Sarah about what drives her to make the Wonderbag product and business a resounding success.
Wonderbag has the potential to be one of the largest scalable solutions to Carbon Offsets across the developing world, whilst simultaneously building resilient energized communities that support people, predominantly women and children, who are the most affected by the Climate Crisis.
Wonderbag was voted as one of the Top 50 Genius Companies In The World by Time Magazine and was a finalist for the 2022 Food Planet Prize.
Sarah is a highly sought after international speaker with a track record. She has been a keynote speaker at the World Economic Forum in Davos, and has been featured in the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) Women in Science, Technology and Innovations series.
She has spoken at Yale, the Imperial College of London, and Standard Bank SME Summit and TedX in Cape Town. Sarah was also one the Top 10 Forbes Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs in 2013 and, Fairlady Woman of the Future 2016.
