Chairlady’s Musings: September 2025

As Maya Angelou said, “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.”

What a way to look at success! A different perspective to what the world say success should look like – achievements, big homes, fancy cars, lots of money in the bank. Oh don’t get me wrong these are signs of success for sure and all of us strive for at least one of these and it is totally fine. But success is so much more.

Four months to go! How are you? How is your business doing? What are you doing to make the last 4 months impactful? How will you measure your success at the end of this year?

For me the last four months of the year is very busy, lots of school photos (pre-schools), year end events and then of course Christmas photos. So, it is pushing through the year-end fatigue, but I love it. I really love what I do, not just liking it, but really LOVE it. How I do it, well, that is debatable (😊), but I believe I am good at what I am doing, I have great relationship with my clients and I am proud of my work ethics.

I will also take this time to start thinking about possibly changes to my business for next year, whether it is my annual price increase or to stop what I no longer like or to add something that ignites my heart with passion. The one big HAPPY moment for me soon will be getting my 2026 diary….I know, so minor, but it fills me with so much joy and promise of a new year. I will set aside a few hours in December and transfer all important dates like birthdays and then any bookings to my calendar, make it pretty, read some of the inspirational quotes and just take a moment.
