In the corporate world\, she has been associated with companies such as Alexander Forbes\, Negotiated Benefit Consultants\, and BoE. In the areas of diversity she has also presented at national and international conferences\, authored and published academic papers both nationally and internationally and has recently written a book ‘Diversity: My call to Action’. \nThandeka is also a proud mother of two daughters working in Cape Town and the UK. She is also a Group Training Instructor at Virgin Active and whens he is not working\, she enjoys reading\, listening to music\, attending the theatre\, and dancing.

She founded We are Food in 2013 after realising the need for a high quality frozen meal offering.  \nShe started producing home-style frozen meals from her home kitchen which proved popular\, before expanding to a central kitchen in Durban North\, which currently produces about 1000 meals a day by hand.  \nJane currently manages procurement\, production\, quality assurance\, team training and recipe development within the company as the Operations Director. \nAmy Weare: After spending four years in Australia working in real estate\, Amy moved back to South Africa in 2016 and joined We are Food in the role of Commercial Director. \nAmy focuses on driving growth of the business while ensuring premium service to all customers is continually provided. \nThis includes managing customer relationships including direct customers\, wholesale customers such as Spar Group and contract production customers including Shoprite Checkers\, driving sales through We are Food's online and physical stores\, and logistics management which includes direct distribution to We are Food customers nationwide\, wholesale distribution which is conducted in house and in partnership with third party logistics companies throughout South Africa and to the UAE.
